Season of Love

Inspired by bold colours and impactful fresh florals, this wedding style was based on a bright and daring colour palette, and a group of Manawatū vendors wanting to showcase something a little bit different…

Lauren at George & Co Events says: “The mid-century style venue, drenched in light from the arched windows and complemented by organic wooden tables and timeless bentwood chairs, made the perfect backdrop for striking matte black tableware and overstated florals.”

“With no sign of foliage or dried product in the bouquet or floral arrangements, every bloom owned its own space and commanded attention. Fresh peonies, poppies, sweet avalanche roses and carnations were among a few varieties featured, and sourced mostly from local Manawatū growers, and a few from up North.”

“We used two stunning gowns in this shoot. The first from Martina Liana Bridal, with its striking geometric lace design, fit-and-flare silhouette, with vintage-inspired linear and curved elements. The second by Madi Lane was modern and minimalistic – an ivory crepe gown with a single shoulder strap, and detachable cape allowing soft chiffon to billow behind. Hair and makeup were kept classic and Hayley's gowns were complemented perfectly by a simple black suit."
