Kerri & Sean

Bride & Groom MAGAZINE 74 Real Wedding 3

With a love of the 1950s era, Kerri and Sean created a beautiful wedding with a vintage garden-picnic theme. Kerri shares details from their day…

From lace cuffs and crocheted parasols to carnations and music from Frankie Valli, everything came together perfectly with the help of family and support from our mums. I found a beautiful coral fabric and my grandmother made my bridesmaids dresses, while I wore an enchanting French-lace couture gown. Our ceremony was held in a picturesque garden, with a pond, pier and mossy white dinghy providing the perfect backdrop. We had readings from the Bible and Dr Seuss, and surprised each other with personalised vows. Following the ceremony, the bridal party rode around on vintage bikes we had been restoring, before returning to the reception and performing a choreographed rock ‘n’ roll dance!
