Courtney & Cori
Courtney and Cori created a wedding that was completely unique, and fun for their guests. They chose a carnival theme, and created a truly special day. Our 2013 Bride of the Year, Courtney shares their story…
We wanted our wedding to reflect the feelings of pure love and euphoria that we are lucky enough to feel every day we are together. As a child, some of my fondest memories were going to the summer carnivals or fairs with my family, looking at the beautiful colours and lights, eating hot dogs and candy floss, and riding the rides over and over till your face hurt from smiling! This was where the inspiration came from for our big day.
We hired the whole of Rainbow’s End theme park, making the most of everything it had to offer. Our ceremony was held on the main stage, and rather than a sit-down meal, the food stalls were open and our guests enjoyed burgers, hot chips, chicken nuggets and hot dogs. They could order as much food and drink as they liked, and there was candyfloss, a lolly table, cupcakes and a wedding cake for dessert.
We saved for two years for our big day and found bargains everywhere. Cori’s Dad built my wedding car!
Our wedding day was amazing, and the guests had the time of their lives, which made all the hard work we put into it so worth it..
