Candice & Andrew

On a beautiful sunny February afternoon, Candice and Andrew were married in an elegant garden wedding. Candice shares details from their special day…

Surrounded by big trees, our outdoor ceremony spot looked beautiful. My bridesmaids and I carried parasols and flowers in fresh colours of greens, ivory, white and pale pink.

Afterwards, Champagne and canapés were served and guests played croquet, cricket and pétanque while we had our photos taken around the epic gardens and homestead. Our handsome dog, Carlos, wearing his own tuxedo, was brought to the venue so he could be a part of our precious snaps!

The reception room looked stunning, complete with draping from the roof and coloured lights hanging all around. We made a lot of the wedding décor, including the mini white bucket favours filled with green kiwifruit and chocolate sweets. One of my bridesmaids drew our wishing tree where our guests left their names and thumbprints, and now this amazing piece hangs proudly in our home. We also set up our own photo booth and made props – definitely a hit with our guests!

The rest of the night was filled with speeches, the first dance, cutting of the cake and the garter and bouquet toss – we didn’t want it to end!
