Becky & Nathan

BG73 Readers Weddings7

With a passion for golfing and the countryside, Becky and Nathan Gilbert chose a spectacular high country resort as their venue. Becky tells us more…

The theme of our wedding was vintage glam, incorporating warm tones and natural resources. I added my own touches to my gown, hand sewing the embellishments and making a lace choker. I also made dresses for my mother and bridal party, as well as their jewellery and fascinators. We got married on the fourth hole of the golf course, a sheltered spot surrounded by trees and looking out over a mirrored pond. After the ceremony we had photos around the grounds with a backdrop of snowy mountains. Our fun-filled reception was decorated with beautiful cream birdcages complete with twigs and candles, creating a romantic feel. My mum sewed table runners and my brother made a frame for our wedding tree out of old sleepers. We danced until 3am and had a group brunch the next morning to reminisce on a day we will treasure forever.
