 Mark and Helen’s soft, elegant vintage theme incorporated French-inspired elements. ‘I wanted to use roses, hydrangeas and soft, fluffy lambs’ ears instead of traditional green foliage,’ says Helen. The resulting floral arrangements in shades of smoky pink, brown and pastel green warmed the base palette of white, ivory and baby blue. Using this colour scheme, they added their own touches. Vintage birdcages decorated with floral arrangements and candles served as lanterns outside their reception marquee. Helen worked with their florist to design a silk, crystal, rosebud and fairy-light curtain behind the head table. Remembrance candles for absent family members were also placed amongst a floral arrangement surrounding an antique church birdhouse. Photos by Jessica Jones
